About Amy

Amy Mitchell, CFA, CFP®, CPWA®, Senior Wealth Advisor, partners with families, executives, and business owners to help them navigate financial life decisions and grow and protect their wealth. She first collaborates with clients to understand their “why,” then develops a financial and investment plan that supports their vision and acts as a roadmap to achieving their goals. She engages clients in all aspects of their wealth plan, creating space for meaningful conversations around retirement planning, education planning, estate and philanthropic planning, and investment management, always with a tax-sensitive focus.

With her thoughtful approach, Amy often works with her clients’ children and parents to help ensure that each generation is supported and a family’s legacy and values are passed on. She is a strong advocate for fully involving both spouses in the financial planning process, and she specializes in helping women prepare for significant life transitions, such as career movement, widowhood, divorce, and caring for elderly parents.

Co-Leading Women of Wealth

Amy’s work with women navigating life transitions connects directly to Mason’s Women of Wealth initiative, which she will co-lead with Sarah.

“I started Women of Wealth because women often face major financial decisions during moments of real change, and they deserve a planning partner who understands that,” said Sarah Baker, CFP®, Senior Wealth Advisor at Mason. “Amy has spent years helping women through widowhood, divorce, and caring for aging parents, and I am excited to co-lead the initiative with her.”
