Empowering Women: Secure Your Future and Legacy

Presented by the Harrison County Community Foundation & Mason Investment Advisory Services

Having a comprehensive strategy that prioritizes your financial goals positions you to secure your future amidst life’s expected and unexpected transitions – and empowers you to make a difference in the world and leave a legacy that makes you proud. Whether married, never married, divorced, or widowed, it is important for women to participate in both financial and legacy planning.

Presenters

Sarah Baker, CFP®, Senior Financial Planner, joined Mason Investment Advisory Services, Inc. in April 2021. Prior to that date, Ms. Baker was a director and client advisor at Sullivan, Bruyette, Speros & Blayney and member of the diversity committee. Prior to that, she was a private wealth advisor at Ronald Blue Trust. She has been featured in industry publications for her finance-focused community engagement. She received a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a minor in Communication from West Virginia University in 2004. She received her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 2007. Ms. Baker is a member of Mason’s Investment Committee.

William J. Dwenger, MSFP, CFP®, Financial Planner, joined Mason Investment Advisory Services Inc., in June 2005. Prior to that date, Mr. Dwenger interned at the Compass Capital Corporation in Massachusetts. He received a Bachelor of General Studies with a concentration in Social and Behavioral Science and a Business Foundations Certificate from Indiana University in 2002. He received a Master of Science in Financial Planning from Bentley University in 2004. He received his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 2008.

Kim Harmon, Planned Giving Officer, Harrison County Community Foundation – As a professional fundraiser for over thirty years, Kim has executed development programs that included annual fund drives, major gifts, capital campaigns, corporate giving, special events, and planned giving. Other duties have included marketing and public relations, strategic planning, and management. With previous work experience at Blue River Services, Bridgepoint Goodwill, Easter Seals, and The de Paul School, Kim began working as the Foundation’s first Director of Development in 2012 and transitioned into her current role as Gift Planning Officer in 2023.
