We are seeking a motivated, well organized, friendly analyst to join our team of institutional consultants and investment analysts. We are seeking a college graduate who is comfortable with the Microsoft Suite of programs (Word, Excel PowerPoint) and managing multiple deadlines. The candidate should have knowledge of Institutional clients, financial markets, investment types, performance returns, trading and rebalancing and Investment Policy Statements. Also, it would be helpful to have superior interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team and individual setting.

The job responsibilities may include:
- Draft and maintain client Investment Policy Statements
- Submit trades (as the portfolio manager) in response to clients’ cash flow needs and to implement the decisions made by the our investment committee
- Oversee the transition of new clients
- Communication, reporting and service tasks for clients
- Primary point of contact for client requests
- Resolve issues, and monitor policies and procedures that are specific to each client
- Special analytical projects requested by client
- Assist with research, data requests, and presentations (creating slides, pitchbook updates, expense ratio requests, etc.)
- Participate in internal investment committee meetings, MIMS meetings, and quarterly deliverables meetings.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or finance.
Preferred requirements: MBA, CFP or CFA; 1-5 years’ experience in a RIA or brokerage firm

Information Technology Associate

The Information Technology Associate will be responsible to aid in the evaluation, implementation and maintenance of new technology and software at Mason. In addition, this position will also aid our Information Technology (IT) department by providing day-to-day quality customer support services for staff and employee operations.
This position will work closely with Mason’s IT department, with our local and regional employees, and will report to the Chief Technology Officer.
The job responsibilities may include:
- Assist in the project management of new technology and software at Mason.
- Assist in gathering and documenting of project requirements.
- Assist in gathering and documenting of project requirements.
- Assist in vendor analysis.
- Assist in keeping projects on track and on time, and making sure deliverables are met.
- Assist in testing new technology to determine effectiveness and need.
- Assist in policy and procedure development, documentation and implementation.
- Assist in training and rollout of new technology and software.
- Assist in the administration of new technology and software.
- Provide Technical Support to staff and employees, customer(s) when necessary as first point of contact.
- Assist with troubleshooting of computer related issues such as password resets, email setup and issues, software installs, printer, etc.
- Maintain accurate records of completed and pending jobs using ticketing system.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 1 – 2 Years of project management experience.
- 1 – 2 years of IT experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Experience in managing customer queries, and delivering projects to expectations and requirements.
- Must be proficient in Windows based environments.
- Should possess some basic knowledge of networking technologies and operations.
- Demonstrate outstanding social and interpersonal skills in a professional environment.
- Should possess an eagerness and excitement for technology and system improvement.

Based in Reston, Virginia, we are a financial planning and investment advisory firm serving high net worth and Fortune 500 corporate sponsored financial planning clients, as well as foundations, endowments, and institutional clients nationwide.
We are seeking experienced professionals to prepare and review individual and trust returns for high net-worth individuals. Qualified professionals should have at least 2 years of experience preparing or reviewing individual tax returns. These opportunities would be perfect for “retired” tax preparers, stay-at-home parents, or anyone interested in working in a professional environment for a few months each year. Candidates should be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational and communication skills, and be capable of working in a paperless environment. CPA’s, attorneys, and Enrolled Agents are preferred. Prior experience with CCH Axcess or ProSystem fx is a plus.
Current opportunities include part-time (minimum: 25 hours per week) to full-time positions from early February – mid April each year. Compensation is based on experience. Additional time for training will be compensated.

The Tax Processor is responsible for processing tax data received from clients and third parties, mailing and tracking client correspondence, and processing completed tax returns. The Tax Processor must possess strong communication and organizational skills, be able to manage multiple tasks subject to strict deadlines, be detail oriented, and have good computer skills. Experience with Adobe Acrobat preferred. The Tax Processor position will be from mid-January 2023 through April 17, 2023. The position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week. Compensation is based on experience. Additional time for training will be compensated.
