We are seeking a motivated, well organized, friendly analyst to join our team of institutional consultants and investment analysts. We are seeking a college graduate who is comfortable with the Microsoft Suite of programs (Word, Excel PowerPoint) and managing multiple deadlines. The candidate should have knowledge of Institutional clients, financial markets, investment types, performance returns, trading and rebalancing and Investment Policy Statements. Also, it would be helpful to have superior interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team and individual setting.

The job responsibilities may include:
- Draft and maintain client Investment Policy Statements
- Submit trades (as the portfolio manager) in response to clients’ cash flow needs and to implement the decisions made by the our investment committee
- Oversee the transition of new clients
- Communication, reporting and service tasks for clients
- Primary point of contact for client requests
- Resolve issues, and monitor policies and procedures that are specific to each client
- Special analytical projects requested by client
- Assist with research, data requests, and presentations (creating slides, pitchbook updates, expense ratio requests, etc.)
- Participate in internal investment committee meetings, MIMS meetings, and quarterly deliverables meetings.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or finance.
Preferred requirements: MBA, CFP or CFA; 1-5 years’ experience in a RIA or brokerage firm

Mason Investment Advisory Services, Inc. is a national investment advisory firm with offices in Virginia and California serving high net worth individuals, institutional clients, and corporate sponsored financial planning clients. We are affiliated with Mason Securities, Inc., which is a FINRA registered broker/dealer. We are looking for a full-time Operations Director to become part of a team in our operations department.
Required: Bachelor’s degree
Required: Experience in the investment management; advisory; and broker/dealer business.
Preferred: FINRA License 99.
Manage the Operations Department of Mason Investment Advisory Services, Inc. and Mason Securities, Inc.
- Assist staff and registered representatives in troubleshooting client inquiries
- Review various transactions to ensure timely and accurate completion, including incoming account transfers; firm account activity; status of open orders.
- Review on a daily basis unsecured debit report; trading deficits for cash and mutual
- Maintain gift list from donors for non-profit institutional accounts; check daily incoming gifts for liquidation
- Approve/validate daily outgoing fed wires/check writing applications
- Establish and maintain productive working relationship and communication with business partners and vendors
- Process and update selling agreements for mutual funds
- Assist with FINRA/SEC audits
- Run new account opening reports for management and compliance
Key Qualifications:
- Ideal candidate will have ten years’ experience in the securities field
- Management experience with a small group of people
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills
- Comfortable with Microsoft applications and data entry
- Flexibility and camaraderie to work in a fast-paced environment

Reporting Analyst

Based in Reston, Virginia, we are a financial planning and investment advisory firm serving high net worth individuals, Fortune 500 corporate sponsored financial planning clients, as well as foundations, endowments, and institutional clients nationwide.
Position Overview
The Reporting Analyst will work in a team, and be responsible for helping maintain all data downloads, manual reconciliation and will help in the production of timely and accurate performance reports to all Mason clients. The Reporting Analyst will also troubleshoot questions related to the performance aggregation and reporting system, performance reports, in addition to supporting other departments that use the data from the performance reporting system.
This position will work closely with The Mason Companies local and regional employees and will report to the Managing Director of Information Technology and Systems.
Responsibilities
- Aid in maintaining the day-to-day reconciliation of accounts in our portfolio aggregation system.
- Aid in the production of accurate and timely monthly and quarterly performance reports for all Mason clients.
- Able to problem solve Advisor and Consultant questions and provide accurate and succinct responses.
- Able to handle multiple requests at once, and still provide accurate and timely responses/deliverables.
- Show initiative in working to automate processes, analyses, and other reporting functions that are currently done manually and/or through customization.
Requirements / Desired Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required.

- 0 – 1 year of performance reporting experience helpful.
