A complimentary webinar for long-term investors

Investing Through Market Volatility

Market declines can make even experienced investors second-guess their plans. Historically, though, volatility has been a regular part of investing. Understanding how markets behave over time can help investors stay focused on their long-term goals.

Join Mason’s Sarah Baker and Eric Rife for a practical discussion on investing when markets are uncertain.

Wednesday, December 2 from 12-1pm EST

What the Presentation Will Cover

A look at how often the stock market has declined during the year, and how those declines compare with full-year returns going back to 1980.

What history shows about investors who moved out of the market and missed some of its best days, and why time in the market matters more than timing it.

A review of more than three decades of market history, including the events that tested investors along the way, and why a long-term perspective can help.

How asset allocation and diversification work together to manage risk, why the best- and worst-performing asset classes change from year to year, and how your goals and time frame shape your portfolio.

Giving strategies to consider when markets are volatile, including gifting appreciated securities, qualified charitable distributions (QCDs) from IRAs, and donor-advised funds.

Sarah and Eric will take your questions at the end of the presentation. You can also submit questions in advance when you register.
