Mary Ellen Schuler-Brand

Mary Ellen Schuler-Brand, Director of Operations, keeps Mason’s client assets moving smoothly behind the scenes. She has been doing so since she joined the firm in 2006.

Mary Ellen spent a decade at Capital Group, working across their individual retirement division and back office operations, before relocating to Virginia when her husband was transferred. She found Mason shortly after and has been a cornerstone of the operations team ever since. Her work today centers on serving as the primary liaison between Mason and its custodians, Pershing and Schwab — troubleshooting issues, navigating policy changes, and driving resolutions that protect the client experience. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing from the University of Kentucky.

What Mary Ellen brings to that work is equal parts experience and curiosity. She genuinely enjoys working through complex problems, and more often than not, the process of finding a solution leaves her with something new learned along the way.
